If I am not wrong, Mr. Fernandes was defence minister in Atal Bihari Vajapyee government in India and when he visited China after calling China Potential threat to India, China welcomed him with open hands. China had provided hi am personal chartered plane and four beautiful ladies to his service during his stay in the country. He was very happy then and now calling to boycott Chinese good in India. The present government in India should send him on another visit to china to change his mind.

It is not a question of why he changed his mind..the present scenario is proving China to be a monster and hence his reaction.

I want to tell Mr. Fernandes that the need of the hour is to confront China on Tibet issue. Boycotting Chinese goods would only hamper the growing trade between these two emerging giants. It is our foreign policy in context with international politics which needs a revamping and not the trade policies.

Let the Indians do it, they will take back the order of boycotting Chinese goods in a month time because the Chinese items have been spread in Indian markets across the country. And the bilateral relation is another important factor, Who wants to lose a friend like China.

Fernandes (I’m not as polite as Parul) got a plane and four ladies while on trip to China!! Really Michael? The guy drapes himself in such pathetic clothes that you would actually feel he was struggling for food. Then he rips off from the Defense and makes crores and now wants stuff from China banned. Here we go again...ban stuff from China, throw out Coke, ban stuff from US, shut Indian markets and then open everything when back in power and say ’India Shining’.

Pang, China is friend or foe, only time will tell. But surely, boycotting chinese products won’t do much good to anyone. Because most chinese products in India arn’t by chinese companies (under some big brands) and other chinese stuff is usually imported to india illegaly. thus it wont effect anyways. and that something Indian govt will never do. It’s just another political gimmick by opposition. If it had been other way then we wld have seen some Congress politician making a similar statement
